book club “Pages of the Past” featuring the New York Times bestseller The Personal Librarian.
This extraordinary work of historical fiction by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray tells the story of Belle de Costa Greene, the Black American who hid her identity in the early 20th century to secure a position as J.P. Morgan’s personal librarian. Published in 2022, this novel was named a Good Morning, America Book Club Pick and a Notable Book of the Year by the Washington Post.
We will gather at the Trumbull Historical Society building at 1856 Huntington Turnpike on Wednesday, May 28, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
